Enrolment Process
The High School at Rosemary Hill Farm (east of Pretoria) welcomes any new applications for grade 8 to grade 10 for 2023.
REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION TO THE HIGH SCHOOL

The interconnectedness of the parent-learner-teacher relationship is an equilateral triangle, with each side carrying the same weight as the other. We look forward to getting to know you and your family and creating a strong bond to support your child’s whole development.

Each of the following steps is a building block in the foundation of this relationship.
STEP 1
School Visit
All prospective parents are required to visit the school (by appointment) on any school day and go on a guided school tour.

Arrangements for a visit can be made by contacting the school office on (012) 802 1175 or completing The School Visit Appointment Form.

STEP 2
Pre-Admission & Assessment

Complete a Pre-Admission Form and email it, with proof of payment of the R850 application fee, to info@thehighschool.co.za.

Once received, the school office will contact you to confirm a date for your entrance assessment. Assessments take place every second Saturday during school terms.
STEP 3
Complete and Submit all these Documents

Credit Check Consent

Confidential Report (Annexure 1)

• Learner’s birth certificate

• Learner’s latest school report

• Copies of any psychological/remedial/professional therapeutic assessments

• Copy of learner’s study visa (where applicable)

• Copy of both parents’ identity documents/passports

• Copy of both parents’ three latest pay slips, or two (2) business references and three months’ bank statements if self-employed.

• Proof of payment of application fee.

These documents may be submitted by emailing it to info@thehighschool.co.za. 

Original documents must be submitted at the time of your interview.

 

STEP 4
Your Interview

Your interview with the class guardian and a colleague will only be confirmed on completion of steps 1 to 3, and once all the listed documents have been received by the school.

1.   Acceptance is not guaranteed and is subject to there being a vacancy and successful interview with the class teacher and a financial interview with the office, including a consumer credit check. You will be advised if/when an interview can be arranged accordingly.

2.   The learner, accompanied by a parent/guardian, as well as the person responsible for the fees, are required to attend the interview with the teacher(s).

3.   Parents will be notified within 72 hours of the interview whether the applicant has been successful or not.

4.   A study permit, or proof of application of a study permit is required within 60 days of acceptance. 

5.   All learners and their parents are to familiarise themselves with the contents of The High School Code of Conduct and Dress Code for Learners, as well as the Hostel Code of Conduct (if applicable).

6.   Admission is at the discretion of the interviewer(s), being appointed representative(s) of school management.

7.   Applicants must be of the appropriate age for the grade for which they wish to enrol, for example

• grade 8 – turning 14 years old

• grade 9 – turning 15 years old

• grade 10 – turning 16 years old

• grade 11 – turning 17 years old

 

APPLICATIONS
School Fees

The small print:

•    The enrolment fee is only refundable if enrolment is terminated during the 3-month probation period.

•    The enrolment fee will be adjusted (increased) when a learner moves into boarding.

•    Enrolment fee is not applicable to learners transferring from The Waldorf School.

•    Settlement of the enrolment fee, in full, is required to ensure a learner’s admission.

•    School fees are payable monthly, quarterly, or annually in advance.
